Laura Jenkins, LAPC
Laura brings compassion, clinical skill, and a warm, down-to-earth style to her work at StableMind Wellness. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology (Mental Health) and Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, and a master’s in Clinical Psychology from Capella University. As a Tier 3 provider with Star Behavioral Health Providers (SBHP), Laura has advanced training in military and veteran cultural competence and evidence-based care, which enables her to effectively support service members, veterans, first responders, and their families through the distinct stressors and transitions those roles can bring.
Her approach is collaborative, integrative, and trauma-informed, tailored to the needs of each person. Laura draws from CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, and trauma-focused techniques to build safety, develop practical skills, and promote lasting change. She works with both children and adults, emphasizing partnership, curiosity, and empowerment in the therapeutic process.
Laura is an experienced and affirming clinician with specialized competence in working with LGBTQ+ clients. She provides culturally competent, trauma-informed care that addresses minority stress, identity development, relationship concerns, and family dynamics with respect and confidentiality. Laura creates a safe space where diverse identities are affirmed and treatment is individualized to each person’s lived experience.
Relatable and supportive in style, Laura aims to help clients feel understood, empowered, and ready to heal from the inside out.
