  • You can reach StableMind Wellness in several ways:

We strive to respond to all inquiries within 1–2 business days.

  • Pricing varies depending on the service, clinician, and session type.

    We offer:

    • Self-pay therapy services

    • Insurance-based services with select plans

    • Supervision and Consultation packages for clinicians

    • Group therapy and workshops at reduced rates

We believe transparency matters. Current rates and insurance information are shared during the intake process, and we’re happy to discuss options to help you plan.

  • Your first session at StableMind Wellness is focused on connection, understanding, and safety.

During your initial appointment, you can expect:

    • A warm welcome and overview of how therapy works

    • Time to share what’s bringing you in at your own pace

    • Discussion of your goals, concerns, and hopes for therapy

    • Review of consent, confidentiality, and logistics

    • Space to ask questions and get to know your therapist

If your first session is equine-assisted, it will also include:

    • A tour of the barn and introduction to the horses

    • Safety guidelines and orientation

    • Gentle, guided interaction based on comfort level

There is no pressure to share everything at once or to “do therapy perfectly.” The first session is about building trust and creating a foundation for meaningful work together.

  • No prior horse experience is needed to participate in equine-assisted psychotherapy.

All equine-assisted sessions at StableMind Wellness take place on the ground—there is no riding involved. Sessions are fully facilitated by a licensed mental health professional and focus on emotional awareness, regulation, boundaries, communication, and connection.

    Your therapist will begin with:

    • A safety orientation and introduction to the horses

    • Clear explanations of each activity

    • Emphasis on consent, comfort, and choice at every step

Many clients have never interacted with horses before and find the experience approachable, calming, and deeply meaningful. The horses serve as partners in the therapeutic process, offering real-time feedback that supports insight and healing. No horse skills required!
